Jess and Brooke are my cousins on my grandma's side and we grew up together like sisters! We all got together and had dinner and chatted! It is always fun getting together with them!

Matt Howard

Ella talks constantly about bulldog games and her favorite player, Matt Howard. If you ask her why she likes him you could get a number of answers...because...he's cute, he's a good player, because he's my favorite and I don't know! Papa took her over to meet him after the game and he was so sweet to her! I guess he was home-schooled with 11 siblings and has some nieces and nephews..so he is used to little ones! She was so shy!! But after, all she could talk about was how she got to meet Matt Howard!!

Jessie and Chad found out about a week ago that the baby was breech and her amniotic fluid levels were low, so trying to turn the baby was not an option, so they scheduled a c-section for TODAY!!!

I gave Cole a biter biscuit tonight while I was making dinner. HE LOVED IT!! (Go figure, the messiest and nastiest things to clean-up after!) Ella loves to sit on the island and watch/help me cook...she is a biggie helper!! I know, bad mommy, for letting her sit on the counter, but I am right there!!

Ella's new thing is to say that she wants to "play a little" whenever it is nap or bed time. The way that she says it is the funniest part because she can't quite get it all out right...you'd have to hear it! Anyway!!

Miss Tessa and her mommy came over to visit today. We had such a great time, as usual. But it was fun to talk with Bri and have some lunch and hang out. Tessa is beautiful, and although she wasn't too happy about the photo shoot, she was a pretty good sport.

We finally got out the easel and she had at it! She wasn't quite sure about the "ucky's on her hands" and would have liked it better with a brush, but once she got used to it, she had a ball!

2008 brought so many great additions...Cole and the news that Chad and Jessie were expecting their first baby in January. It is hard to believe that another year is gone...it must be true that the older you are the faster time flies. I cannot imagine what it will be like when we are our grandparents age!!

We had a really fun New Years day, with everyone coming over to our house for a smorgaseboard of food! We always have appitizers and snacks and watch football!

My parents went with us to the BU game and enjoyed the WIN!! The kids were great, as usual, and I think my dad was suprised at how good they were! We've trained them well! Scott, Stacey, Collin and my uncle Eddie all went to a Pacer's game and got Ric Smits autograph and sat in the second row...I may be a little biased, but I still think that the Butler game was probably more fun! Just and opinion!!

We went to the Maxfield's today in Illinois for a quick visit. It has probably been since Ella was 8-9 months old since we saw them the last time and this was the first time that they met Cole. My dad's brother Bruce and 2 out of 3 of his kiddos joined us for the afternoon! We couldn't have been more excited that they drove all the way from Cincy for such a short trip, but we usually only see them once a year.
My kids are so lucky to have 7 great grandparents and 4 grandparents!!
